Announcement: What is Energy Medicine?

January 10th, 2013

Energy medicine, energy therapy or energy healing, a branch of complementary and alternative medicine, holds the belief that a healer can channel healing energy into the person seeking help by different methods: hands-on, hands-off, and distant (or absent) where the patient and healer are in different locations. There are various schools of energy healing. It is known as biofield energy healing, spiritual healing, contact healing, distant healing, therapeutic touch, Reiki or Qigong.  Spiritual healing is largely non-denominational: practitioners do not see traditional religious faith as a prerequisite for effecting a cure. Faith healing, by contrast, takes place within a religious context.

Announcement: The Energy of Emotions – By Dr. Bradley Nelson

November 25th, 2012

Everything that exists in our universe is made up of energy.  We are like fish, swimming in an invisible sea of energy.  The wi-fi signal you pick up with your smart phone, laptop, iPad, Kindle, and other devices is an energy stream in the form of radio waves.  your heart and brain emit waves that can be monitored.

When you feel emotion, it is not just a feeling inside you. You actually emanate the energy of that emotion. You may not be able to see it, but it has a direct impact on your health. It can not only cause emotional pain, but physical pain.

Energy healing is one of the oldest practices in the world. Since 4000 B.C. healers have understood that our health depends on the quality of the energy that flows through our bodies. Chinese medicine calls it “qi.” Ayurvedic medicine calls it “prana.”

When that energy is blocked by trapped emotions, pain sets in. Only by releasing trapped emotions can you relieve the pain and start to heal.

My Horse Is More Relaxed and Loving!

January 10th, 2013

I had heard about energy clearing online and found a program I was interested in. We moved and I didn’t have a chance to have it done. I moved my horses to our new location and soon I met Kim. She was walking by my horses and talking to them and appreciating them. She told me she was newly trained in energy healing and it was the same program I read about 6 months earlier! I couldn’t believe what a coincidence it was and I knew it was for me! Kim cleared my horses first and I noticed a change immediately. My 21 year old mare was a rescued horse and wasn’t very loving and she never really acknowledged me. Now she puts her nose up to mine and is so much more relaxed. She made a big turn a round. I really feel a connection with both of them that wasn’t there before. Next, Kim performed a clearing on me and after a few sessions I feel better and more loving and more forgiving. A lot of the negative feelings I held on to for years have just fallen away. No sadness or anger with letting them go. I woke up a week later and didn’t feel the anguish inside that I had for years. My Father recently passed away and I don’t think I could have gotten through it without the clearing. His death wasn’t piled on top of the old heap of negativity I was carrying around. Many of the emotions I felt were sad, no doubt, and there were many tears, however, the feelings were able to pass right through me without hanging around and I feel better each day since his passing.

The best part of the clearing was when I suggested it to my 28 year son. Kim gave him a rundown of the process showing him how easy it was and he agreed to it. His session didn’t take long and afterwards he didn’t feel any different. We forgot about it and didn’t mention it again. My son went through a lot when I divorced his Father when he was 4 and then he went to live with his Dad when he was 7. We were inseparable but because of extenuating circumstances living with his father was the best thing for him. I always felt this took a toll on his heart because even though he had girlfriends in High School he never found a girlfriend in his 20’s. Kim did great work with him because three months later he got back together with his old girlfriend and they are happy and doing very well. Kim helped him clear his block to intimacy and his “heart wall”. He is so happy and it is great to see him enjoying his life. My husband is next and we plan to have all our kids see Kim in the next year. We can’t wait.

Kim stays focused on the healing portion of the emotions so I never felt uncomfortable about past hurts or incidences that caused me pain. I didn’t have to re-live the bad experiences in my life which traditional therapy does. In a few sessions I was cleared and I plan on going back for a “tune-up” from time to time. Kim is all about the healing and she is doing a great service to the world through her healing! You will be amazed.

Sticky: What is Reiki?

December 6th, 2012

Reiki (霊気?, /ˈrk/) is a spiritual practice[1] developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, which has since been adapted by various teachers of varying traditions. It uses a technique commonly called palm healing or hands on healing as a form of alternative medicine and is sometimes classified as oriental medicine by some professional medical bodies.[2] Through the use of this technique, practitioners believe that they are transferring universal energy (i.e., reiki) in the form of qi (Japanese: ki) through the palms, which allows for self-healing and a state of equilibrium.[3]

There are two main branches of Reiki, commonly referred to as Traditional Japanese Reiki and Western Reiki. Though differences can be wide and varied between both branches and traditions, the primary difference is that Westernised forms use systematised hand-placements rather than relying on an intuitive sense of hand-positions (see below), which is commonly used by Japanese Reiki branches. Both branches commonly have a three-tiered hierarchy of degrees, usually referred to as the First, Second, and Master/Teacher level, all of which are associated with different skills and techniques.

Why Energy Healing? – By Dr. Alex Loyd

November 14th, 2012

A recent study published in the Wall Street Journal stated that the money spent on health care in the United States has exceeded 15% of our gross national product. At the heart (literally!) of this epidemic of illness is unhealed stress caused by the false pictures and unhealed energy patterns stored in our body/mind. There is even evidence that genetic diseases originate somewhere in our family tree because stress damaged the genes of our ancestors. The wonderful news is that research from the Institute of

HeartMath indicates that if the stress can be removed, the genes will often heal.

According to Dr. Lipton, internal stress is caused by deeply held wrong beliefs. These beliefs cause us to interpret circumstances as threatening, when in actuality they aren’t. This wrong interpretation of our circumstances causes the unhealthy activation of what we have come to know as the “fight-or-flight” syndrome.

There are three components of the fight-or-flight syndrome:

1. The autonomic nervous system creates stress so that we can run faster or fight

harder, literally to survive the current event.

2. Resources, including blood flow, nutrients, waste removal, and oxygenation, are

shifted away from our internal organs, immune system, and higher intellectual

functioning and shifted to large muscle groups and the brain stem, where reactive

thinking occurs.

3. Individual cells receive an alarm message from the nervous system to shift out of

growth and into the self-protection mode. (Cells in growth mode are impervious to

illness and disease; cells in self-protection mode are susceptible to illness and

Dr. Lipton explains that if the body stays in this state long enough, illness and disease

are likely to follow. This is the process that creates disease 95% of the time. Dr. Lipton

goes on to show that the reason we are getting sicker as a population, even though our

technology and research are improving, is because we are going into the fight-or-flight

mode daily. Innocuous events such as the phone ringing, driving our car, going to the

mailbox, or looking at our checkbook can trigger stress. The body was designed to go

into the fight-or-flight mode only when our lives are threatened, and then immediately go back into growth mode when the threat has ended.

We remain in the fight or flight mode so consistently throughout the day because of our

false and unhealed mental images and their associated wrong beliefs, which in turn

constantly create negative feelings and behavior.
